A message from interest group leader, Alison Brown:
I was in touch with the Beaufort Pub and they can accommodate our group on Monday nights. I’ve booked us in for the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:30 pm. The meeting will last as long as we want, but will probably end between 8:00 and 8:30 pm. The address is 173 Dundas St E Belleville ON K8N 1C9 Canada
The time you arrive is up to you, but I’ll be there for 5:30 pm. Remember this can be just a drink, or dinner and a drink or no drink and just knitting/crocheting. You can arrive and leave at any time you want.Don’t forget to bring your knitting, crocheting or any other craft you can do on your lap. If you want to learn how to knit or crochet – don’t buy anything… I have LOTS of extras and can lend you something to get started.Once we are there, we can talk about how we want to move forward with this group. We could
- do our own thing
- all work on a similar project (like socks or shawls, etc)
- look for options for knitting for charities such as Knitted Knockers https://knittedknockerscanada.com/index.html or Ontario Knits for Hope https://www.facebook.com/pg/Ontario.Knits.For.Hope.Initiative/about/?ref=page_internal
- find a local charity who needs knitted things (schools, hospice, hospital)
- do a combination of allThanks again for signing up and I’ll see you on Oct 15.
