This year’s Valentine Luncheon Bridge was held on February 13, 2020 at St. Thomas Church. Twenty-two tables of four, or 88 people enjoyed a luncheon provided by club members followed by an afternoon of bridge. This year’s menu was Carrot Soup (Jess Chamber’s recipe from our very own cookbook), an assortment of sandwiches and Sticky Toffee Date Cake. At the end of the afternoon prizes were awarded to the winners as well as a number of door prizes.
Twenty-six members of the club contributed to the event in some way or other by donating prizes, providing food, setting up the tables, greeting the guests at the door, serving and cleaning up. A true team effort! As a result, $1710 was presented to the scholarship trust fund.
