March Break started on a high note for children, parents and grandparents who attended the Family Concert on Saturday, March 10th. They were treated to a delightful presentation highlighting the music of Mozart played on the piano, violin and clarinet.
Many thanks to Elizabeth Ewashkiw and Pat McLaughlin for the many hours put in to ensure the successful day.
The Friday Night Brights team consisting of Carolyn, Jess, Sandi, Jane and family members tied for second place in the Kiwanis Trivia Night last Friday.
The team has donated the $75 prize to the Scholarship Fund.
If you attended the January Luncheon, you heard the announcement about the generous donation to the 2018 Garden Tour from Belleville Toyota in the amount of $1000.00. This is the largest single sponsorship donation of all time to the Garden Tour. Thank you to Barbara Durnford of the sponsorship committee for making this happen.
President, Laura Hare and Barbara are pictured below receiving the donation from Andy Caletti, owner and general manager of Belleville Toyota.
Congratulations to the Arts Outings Interest Group for hosting the successful January Luncheon. The creativity of the group was evident in the arts-themed aprons worn by the servers and the table centrepieces. Each of the centrepieces represented a Canadian woman in the Arts. It was our task to examine the displays and use the accompanying clues try to determine the identity of our artist/author/musician.
We were entertained by some of the talented students of the Michael Faulkner School of Music who performed a variety of vocal and piano solos and duets.
This morning Laura Hare, Linda Connelly and Jane Taylor delivered your donation of more than eighty books to the main fire hall. These books will be added to the Belleville Firefighters’ Annual Toy Drive.
