This year the luncheon was hosted by members of the Book Exchange interest group. Thank you to the organizing committee, Marilyn Jackson, Barb Kirkham, Mary Miller, Susan Pine, and Cathy Warren. A big thank you also to the young ladies from Abigail’s Learning Centre who volunteered their time to assist.
By popular request entertainment was provided by local musician, Michael Faulkner, and four of his very talented piano and vocal students.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2019 11:30 to 2:00
This year the Book Exchange interest group is hosting the January luncheon, with a “book” theme. Arrive before lunch is served and and browse the volumes on the table. Try the book quiz. Lots of fun with your tablemates. Every completed quiz will earn a chance at the prize draw.
Back by popular demand is Michael Faulkner with an outstanding group of young musicians. Michael is a vital contributor to music education and enjoyment in Belleville and area. Besides acting as Director of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Michael teaches voice and music to some 60 students, many of them young. He also founded the Community Choir to invite everyone to find their own voice.
Last year those who attended the Luncheon gave a standing ovation to the young performers!! Don’t miss it.

There was an excellent turnout for the September Coffee Party which was the first meeting of the 2018 – 2019 year. The room was abuzz as returning members and new members paid their membership fees, investigated the numerous interest groups, socialized and enjoyed the delicious refreshments provided by the Special Events committee.
